Insurance Producer / Account Executive – New York

As a nationwide insurance broker, our producers are continually exposed to a broad base of information related to international trade, importing, exporting, risk management, specialty insurance products, web-based technology, and solid business practices. As an Avalon Producer, you will excel in the many facets of international insurance: prospecting new business, soliciting sales through referrals and cold calling, lead qualification, and developing your professional selling skills. In this role, you will also be exposed to underwriting, processing renewals, handling customer service and risk assessments, participation in industry and association events, and more.

Industry experience is not required, but successful candidates will have 2-5 years experience in Business-to-Business outside sales. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the insurance, logistics, mortgage or pharmaceutical industries. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. To succeed in this position, you must possess strong organizational and analytical skills, be detail oriented, and exhibit exceptional reasoning skills. Avalon Risk Management is looking for an energetic telemarketer interested in working with our marketing department to qualify sales leads. This is not a direct sales position but rather a sales support position. This position reports directly to our Marketing Communications Manager, and it offers a great opportunity to learn various aspects of sales and product promotion in our growing insurance organization. The position will work from our headquarters in Elk Grove Village, Illinois and is open to both Full Time and Part Time.

An Inside Sales Representative works with the marketing and sales teams to develop new prospects and promote Avalon’s product lines. The Representative may also interact with existing clients to provide sales assistance and promote increased sales. Main duties will include business to business telemarketing via phone and email communication as well as performing online lead/contact research. The position will utilize Salesforce.com (training will be provided) to track progress and record lead details to be used by our sales team.Additional areas will vary but may include the maintenance of marketing database information related to our clients and associations and updating market share information.

A successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills paired with a persistent but positive follow-up style. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as the ability to learn Salesforce.com, a customer relationship tracking program is required. The ability to stay on-task and on-pace is a must. This role is considered a stepping stone to a full outside sales role.

Insurance Producer / Account Executive – Nationwide

Avalon will assist successful candidates with product training and meeting any insurance licensing requirements in their respective territory. Our compensation package provides a base salary and commissions. U.S. candidates will work from one of our established office locations throughout the U.S. with the ability to sell within that office's divisional territory. Canadian candidates will be focused on the Toronto and surrounding Ontario area with opportunities to expand into other provinces.
